Carr recently joined Akoya Operating Partners to lead the deal team.
Over a 17 year career in private equity investing, Carr has developed an outstanding ability to source, evaluate, structure, and execute investment transactions. He has executed numerous transactions across a variety of industries including manufacturing, business services, and consumer products.
Carr began his career with Chase Manhattan Bank and Freeman Securities. He has held senior positions with the private equity firms Allied Capital and Reliant Equity Investors which he co-founded. In addition to his work with Akoya, he is currently a Special General Partner with Green Pastures Partners, LLC.
Carr is on the Boards of The Emergency Fund and Saint Ignatius College Prep in Chicago. He has a BA in Finance from Morehouse College, a JD from George Washington University, and an MBA from Wharton Business School.
