Kevin Lane
Associate
Kevin Lane is an associate with Akoya, directly involved in all aspects of each Akoya transaction. A former strategy consultant, Kevin brings to Akoya more than 10 years of experience assisting Fortune 500 companies, small firms, universities and not-for-profit entities through complex financial and strategic decisions.
Most recently, Kevin was an associate director at Navigant Consulting, Inc., where he directed and performed valuations of businesses, intellectual properties and emerging technologies. In addition, he provided expert accounting and valuation testimony in complex commercial litigation matters before the Federal District Courts and the American Arbitration Association.
Previously, Kevin was an associate at Charles River Associates/InteCap, Inc. — now CRA International — where he directed and performed detailed analyses and modeling related to manufacturing, sales and marketing, and financial operations of firm clients. While at InteCap, he also collaborated on the launch of a new practice area focused on intellectual property as it relates to venture investments and mergers and acquisitions, with particular emphasis on target identification, due diligence and valuation.
Kevin has an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business and a BBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois and has been a guest lecturer at The John Marshall Law School and the Loyola University Chicago School of Law on topics that include accounting for business combinations, valuation and tax strategy.
