Sebastian Fischer
Associate
Sebastian joined Akoya Capital as an Associate in 2011 and assists in due diligence and execution of our transactions. He is involved in the development of value creation strategies and supports the creation of our sector leaders' investment thesis.
Prior to joining Akoya, Sebastian was Head of Planning and Productivity at Tottus Supermarket chain in Chile ($700 M in revenues, ~7,000 employees). Sebastian was a direct report to the CEO, leading a team of 8 top professionals in different projects, contributing to significant improvements in the company.
Prior to Tottus, Sebastian worked for approximately three years as a consultant at McKinsey & Company working extensively in the Corporate Finance and Strategy practices. Working mainly in the Mining and Banking industries, he was able to work in projects based in Chile, China and Brazil.
Sebastian earned a Master in Engineering and his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, and is currently enrolled full time in the MBA program at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
